For you weekend planning…
Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. Calm wind becoming west between 6 and 9 mph.
Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 55.
Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 80.
Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 55.
A surface high-pressure ridge located over central Georgia with low level easterly flow expected. Maximum temperatures will be a bit warmer with weaker winds and rising thickness Friday evening mostly clear to partly cloudy with Lows in the lower to mid 50s. Some light fog possible after midnight.
As mentioned cold front will be pushing southeastward over the southeast US. Partly sunny skies expected with seasonable temperatures and light winds. Although GFS hints at possible isolated shower activity over Florida, will refrain from inserting at this time based on NAM and ECMWF showing little moisture return to support showers. Highs in the lower 80s will be common. Expect very high tree pollen levels.
If you're headed for the beach onshore flow and east to northeast swells will maintain an elevated risk of rip currents along area beaches through Friday and possibly Saturday as well.
