On Sunday, the All American Liberty Fest, a fundraiser for local veterans' associations sponsored by Sante Fe's Collegiate Veteran Society, will offer a motorcycle run and car show, bounce houses, clowns, music, rock climbing and more from 11 am to 4 pm.

The event, planned for the south end of Santa Fe College's Northwest campus (by the large flagpole), also will offer feature a SWAT team exhibit, military vehicles and a Gainesville police department K9 demonstration as well as food and music from such groups as Sin Waggin' and Hartley Leacock's collective format band.

Joe Galloway, co-author of “We Were Soldiers Once ... And Young,” will speak and a flag-raising ceremony with a 60-by-30-foot American flag is scheduled for 12:35 pm. Donations collected will be divided among veterans' organizations in Alachua County.

Also an official Veterans Affairs “Welcome Home” event, the festival will have a mobile unit from the VA hospital to enroll veterans for services and administer flu shots to those already enrolled.
