On Sunday, the Shands Arts in Medicine program will stage its inaugural Arts & Health Festival from 1 to 5 pm at Shands Cancer Hospital as part of National Arts & Health Month.

The festival will include arts activities, health screenings, and Zumba and yoga in the Criser Cancer Resource Center. In the Garden of Hope, visitors can hear light jazz music performed by guitarist Taylor Roberts and vocalist Cathy DeWitt at 1:30 pm, enjoy a dance performance by Traffic, a group of dancers in the AIM program at 2 pm; and hear the 6th Street Rhythm & Blues Review perform at 3 pm.

Quick oral histories will be given by the writer in residence, Barbara Esrig, and visitors will be able to dance with the Seasoned Citizens dance class leader Rusti Brandman among other activities.

The Shands Cancer Hospital is at 1515 Archer Road. For more information, call 733-0880 or see www.shands.org/aim.
