Tonight: Mostly cloudy. Chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms in the evening then slight chance of showers and isolated thunderstorms after midnight. Lows in the lower 70s. Northeast winds 5 mph. Chance of rain 50 %

Hazardous Weather Outlook: Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening. The stronger storms will be capable of frequent cloud to ground lightning and strong and gusty winds..

Forecast Details: surface analysis showing broad area of low pressure and stationary front across cntl Alabama and Georgia and a ridge across central Florida. A middle/upper trough was across the eastern US with impulses rotating through the base of the trough, one such impulse was moving across the Gulf Coast which was producing widespread slow moving showers/storms which were mainly west of I-75 during the early morning.

Friday moisture axis remains across the area with pwat's above 2 inches. Front across cntl Georgia will advance south as a back door front and combine with short wave coming in from the Gulf which will produce numerous showers/storms. Storms will begin this morning along I-75 corridor and work to the east during the afternoon. With light steering flow storms will be slow movers again and quickly produce local rainfall amounts of 2+ inches. Due to the expected increase in cloud cover, temperatures will be several degrees cooler and the streak of 90 degrees may be coming to an end.

Today's Pollen Levels: 4.0 Low Medium (on a scale to 12); Predominate Pollen: Ragweed, Grass and Chenopods.
