Today's WX Outlook...

Weather Underground

Today: Patchy fog in the early morning. Partly cloudy. Chance of showers in the morning then chance of showers and slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs around 90. East winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 40 %.

Tonight: Mostly clear. Patchy fog after midnight. Lows around 70. Northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

Isolated thunderstorms are expected across inland northeast Florida along the I-75 corridor this afternoon. locally heavy rainfall, frequent lightning and gusty winds will be possible.

Forecast Details: strong anticyclone is currently anchored over the middle-Atlantic and New England states. An elongated middle to upper level trough extends from west to east across the Gulf Coast region. Locally an easterly flow regime in the lower levels of the atmosphere has resulted in a few coastal showers. Areas of fog will likely establish later tonight, especially across southeast Georgia where the lower atmosphere is more stable.

A warming and drying trend is forecast through the short-term as aforementioned anticyclone is forecast to sag southward over the eastern United States. As been the case the last several days showers will once again focus across northeast Florida where precipitable waters remain near 2 inches (although have capped probability of precipitation in the chance category due to limited dynamics). An isolated afternoon thunderstorm will be possible. Temperatures are forecast to climb into the lower 90s away from the coast.

Today's Pollen Levels: 3.0Low (on s a scale to 12); Predominate Pollen: Grass & Nettle.
