Forecast Details
The upper low continues to move northeast up the Atlantic Seaboard southeast of Long Island. A sheared trough extends from the lower Ohio Valley to north Baja California. Narrow stream of upper moisture and some thin high clouds extends from south Texas to north Georgia ahead of this trough. Mostly clear skies prevail over the local area. Winds range from calm over our northwest zones to 5 to 10 miles per hour along the Atlantic coast. At 3 am temperatures range from a few lower 30s in normally colder interior areas to the middle 40s in breezier coastal locales. The frost advisory expired at 8 am.
Mostly a temperature and frost forecast through the next 48 hours. MOS temperatures are in good agreement and a blend has been used. Maximum temperatures will remain mostly in the 50s today under mostly sunny skies. High cloudiness will increase late in the day, especially across northeast Florida a result of an upstream sheared trough. Lows tonight will be similar to this morning's with normally colder interior areas dipping to near or just below freezing. Not a widespread enough event to warrant any freeze product at this time.
Today's Pollen Levels: 5.4 Medium (on a scale to 12); Predominate Pollen: Cedar/Juniper, Alder and Elm.
