Forecast Details:cold front just northwest of the region and moving rather slowly while next impulse along the front over the northeastern Gulf of Mexico should track along the boundary and kick it through the forecast area today with scattered to numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms at times. Maximum temperatures generally in the 60s but will nudge into the lower to middle 70s in locations that get a few breaks of sun ahead of the frontal boundary. Gusty southwesterly winds possible ahead of frontal boundary at 15 miles per hour with gusts to 25 miles per hour at times and some 30-40 miles per hour gusts possible with heavy shower/thunderstorm activity but still no severe weather is expected at this time. Tonight will turn sharply colder as front exits to the southeast and expect overnight lows in the 30s and 40s.
