Ed Woods, who splits his time between his home in Fort White and his job at Billie Swamp Safari, will once again be on television as part of the National Geographic WILD channel.
The show is called "Swamp Men" and chronicles the daily work of Woods and his associates as they patrol the safari's land and relocate animals to keep the guests safe. The show already had a successful season and was picked up for a second run.
The show appears on Monday nights at 10 pm, and Monday's show on Dec. 27 is described by National Geographic as follows: "For years, Ed has been searching for a new home for his Nile crocs. That day has finally come, and now the guys face the daunting task of removing these dangerous reptiles from the park. Then, the team contends with one of the most dangerous reptiles in the park, a 400-pound wild alligator that climbed into an exhibit and now rules the roost. Across the park, a feral pig is growing into a dangerous hog that threatens staffers."
