Today: Sunny, with a high near 60. East wind between 6 and 8 mph. 

Tonight: Areas of frost after 1am. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 34. Calm wind. 

Christmas Day: Areas of frost before 8am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 65. Wind chill values as low as 34 early. Calm wind becoming south between 5 and 8 mph. 

Saturday Night: A 50 % chance of showers. Cloudy, with a low around 45. Light wind becoming west between 11 and 14 mph. 

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 53. Breezy, with a northwest wind between 15 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. 

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 24. 


Hazardous Weather: smoke from a wildfire in southeast Alachua County near Lachloosa will drift southwest today and affect areas around Cross Creek, Mcintosh, Reddick and Citra. Visibilities along parts of U.S. 301 and U.S. 441 will be reduced due to smoke.

A developing low pressure system will move across the area Christmas night. Mostly showers are expected with this system. Behind the associated cold front, much colder conditions are expected with hard freezes possible early next week.
