Today: Sunny, with a high near 57. Wind chill values as low as 41 early. North wind around 7 mph. 


Tonight: Areas of frost after 3am. Otherwise, clear, with a low around 29. Light north wind.  


Hazardous Weather: A cold and dry air mass will persist over the region. Sub-freezing temperatures are again forecast tonight for most inland areas.


The dry conditions will promote a high fire danger.


Forecast details: Temperatures reached the 30s across the area under clear skies. The Freeze warning expired at 8 am EST this morning Cold high pressure parked west of area today will drift over Florida on Friday then south into the Gulf of Mexico Saturday as next cold front approaches. Winds will settle down to less than 10 mph. Clouds will increase on Saturday otherwise mostly Clear skies are forecast. Today will continue to be cold with highs In the 50s to near 60 s portion and tonight will have another freeze event.

... Freeze Warning In Effect From 2 AM To 9 AM EST Friday... 

The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued a Freeze Warning which is in effect from 2 am to 9 am EST Friday. The Freeze Warning for this morning expired at 8 am EST.

A very cold air mass in place will result in another freeze event tonight. Minimum temperatures in the upper 20s and lower 30s are forecast for the interior counties of northeast Florida and southeast Georgia.


... Red Flag Warning Now In Effect From 10 AM This Morning To 6 PM EST This Evening For Low Humidity... 

The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued a Red Flag Warning is now in effect from 10 am this morning to 6 PM EST this evening.

A very dry air mass will filter over the area today and Friday. Extended durations of low relative humidity are expected each day. Minimum values will near 20 % inland to near 30 % along the coast each afternoon. Durations of sub-critical rhs will range from 5 to 8 hours.
