Tonight: Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 40s. North winds 5 mph.
Forecast Details: inverted trough east of Florida has produced a tight gradient along the coast. A stratocumulus deck has developed from isentropic lift across the local area. Showers have developed within a convergent zone associated with the trough. Clouds and rain showers have moistened the lower levels as evidenced by a doubling of precipitable water in the KJAX 12z sounding. Drier air still sits farther inland and showers are having a difficult time as they spread over northeast Florida. Radar trends also show rain not able to advance north into Duval. Have updated probability of precipitation to 20% or higher south of St. Augustine and east of St. Johns River. Otherwise will keep less than 15%.
Today's Pollen Levels: 0.9 Low (on a scale to 12); Predominate Pollen:Juniper.
