Forecast Details:. Water vapor imagery and upper analysis showing a progressive and amplified pattern across the U.S. Long wave trough extended from southern Canada to the Gulf of Mexico. MSAS analysis showing 993 mb low just south of New England with a cold front that extended southeast of the low. This front has pushed well south of the area. Skies were rapidly clearing over the area and temperatures were steadily falling through the 50s and will bottom out into the 40s across the inland areas this morning.
Friday/Friday night high pressure begins to build in behind departing front and a Canadian air mass gets funneled into the area on breezy northwest winds. Still appears winds fall just short of Lake wind criteria so will have breezy wording in forecast with maximum temperatures a good 10 degrees below normal (mid 60s). Low temperatures tonight expected to be above freezing due to northwest winds remaining at 5 to 10 miles per hour.
