Today: Sunny, with a high near 78. North wind between 8 and 11 mph.


Tonight:  Mostly clear, with a low around 47. West wind around 6 mph.


Hazardous weather: There will be an elevated fire danger today due to dry air over the region.


Forecast Details: Cold front has pushed into south Florida with building high pressure providing much drier and cooler air to the area. Another cold front will push through tonight reinforcing the cool dry weather pattern through the weekend. Clear skies and light winds will continue as surface high center moves over north Florida by Sunday.


Maximum temperatures will be seasonable while low temperatures will remain below normal,40s inland and 50s near the east coast.

The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued a Red Flag Warning, Which Is in effect from noon to 7 pm EDT Saturday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. A Red Flag Warning remains in effect from 11 am this morning to 7 pm EDT this evening.


Much drier air has filtered into the area. Relative humidity will fall below 35 % for 6 to 8 hours with minimum values Between 15 and 25 %. Northwest winds will increase to 10 to 15 mph.


A dry air mass will continue on Saturday with relative humidity forecast to fall below 35 % away from the coast for durations of 5 to 7 hours. This has prompted the issuance of Red Flag Warning.
