Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. East wind between 7 and 9 mph.

Tonight: Areas of fog after 2am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. East wind around 6 mph.

Hazardous weather: areas of fog will be possible late tonight over inland areas with
Locally dense fog in some areas.
Forecast Details: above average temperatures will continue into next week. Best chance for rain will come Monday afternoon. Strong middle to upper level ridge axis will shift east today but heights will remain sufficiently high enough for temperatures to once again soar into the 80s across much of the area. Guidance has been several degrees too low on maximum temperatures across the interior the past couple of days. See no reason why this will not be the case again today. With this in mind, Gainesville will likely come very close to a record today (90 set in 1949).

The flow will veer to the south tonight and warm moist air will be drawn up. Isentropic lift will also be on the increase and clouds will begin to thicken and low temperatures will be much warmer over the interior.

Today's Pollen Levels: 6.0 Medium (on a scale to 12); Predominate Pollen: Ragweed.
