Tonight: Patchy fog after 2am. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 55. West wind between 3 and 6 mph.
Forecast Details: surface high pressure systems are centered in the northern Gulf and the western Atlantic with an elongated ridge bridging these features. Aloft, a shortwave trough extends from the southeast United States into the northern Gulf of Mexico with mainly high clouds establishing along and ahead of this feature.
Quiescent weather pattern will continue through the short term with series of upper level disturbances carving a broad trough across the central and eastern United States. High pressure in the lower levels of the atmosphere will give way to a cold, albeit dry front that is expected to advance across the local area late Wednesday. Another cold high pressure system will then work its way into the southeast region late in the week. In a nutshell, dry conditions to continue. Maximum temperatures are expected in the 80s with minimum temperatures in the 50s and lower 60s. Only issue through the short-term will be fog development as nighttime dew-points will also hold in the 50s and lower 60s. Will advertise patchy fog development at this time as a progressive pattern should preclude widespread fog development.
