Today: A 20 % chance of showers after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 85. North wind around 11 mph.

Tonight: A 10 % chance of showers before 8pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 55. North wind around 6 mph.

Forecast Details: Water vapor imagery shows long wave trough from Ontario to the Gulf of Mexico with a swath of high level subsidence over Florida and southeast Georgia. However visible and infrared satellite reveal cloudiness within low level northeasterly flow over the coastal waters. KJAX 12z sounding shows northeasterly winds at and below 850 MB. Under overcast skies a convergence band is bringing showers onshore south of St. Augustine. Also a swath of clouds over the Panhandle and adjacent Gulf waters is associated with a shortwave moving through the base of the upper trough. This feature will swing east today and expect partly cloudy skies for the afternoon and early evening hours. Coastal showers will continue especially along Florida coast. The rain showers will push farther inland by early afternoon before steering flow becomes more northerly.

Today's Pollen Levels: 6.8 Medium (on a scale to 12); Predominate Pollen: Ragweed, Grass and Chenopods.
