Looking for something to do this weekend to get away from the Homecoming Crowd? How about a short drive to Cedar Key for seafood and festivities...

41st Annual Cedar Key Seafood Festival Saturday and Sunday October 16-17, 2010 at City Park in Cedar Key.

Weekend of fun for the whole family. Special musical culinary event, “Dueling Banjos/Dueling Clams,” on Sunday afternoon. Chef Dean Max, recently crowned “2010 King of American Seafood” in New Orleans will prepare his signature east coast clam dish. Cedar Key’s own award-winning chef, Peter Stefani, will prepare west coast clams. This annual festival offers over 200 arts and crafts exhibits, delicious local seafood, live musical entertainment day and night, and a parade on Saturday morning. An open house at the lighthouse on Seahorse Key is also available using shuttle boats from the City Marina.
