Forecast Details:. Surface high pressure will build over the central Continental U.S. today following the cold frontal passage. A dry northwest flow will veer north-northeast through the day as the ridge builds eastward, with Lake Wind Advisory conditions expected along the Atlantic coast with sustained speeds around 20 miles per hour. Temperatures will range from the middle to low 70s across our northern zones, to near 80 south-southwest toward Ocala under mostly sunny skies by this afternoon.
Tonight will be the cold night as the surface ridge builds over the southeast Atlantic Seaboard states. Temperatures will fall into the lower 40s across southeast Georgia and the Suwanee River valley under a north-northeast drainage flow, while the onshore flow will keep coastal lows in the upper 50s.

Minimum Values are expected to near 30 %, with sub-critical values For 3 to 5 hours. North winds of 10 to 15 mph with gusts to 20 mph will also enhance the fire weather threat as well.

A record high temperature of 91 degrees was set at Gainesville yesterday. This breaks the old record of 90 set in 1911.
