Forecast Details: low-level high continues to reside just north of the area with the upper level high stretching across the northern Gulf. Increasing southeast winds above the surface is providing favorable conditions for isentropic-induced clouds over the coastal sections with mainly clear skies over the interior.
Will follow the GFS/SREF solutions for today with the potential for a stray shower across the coastal sections of northeast Florida this morning and across inland sections of northeast Florida this afternoon.

Did you know that... Hurricane Ivan came ashore as a strong category 3 hurricane at Gulf Shores, Ala. on this date in 2004. The storm had made its way across the Leeward Islands, south of Jamaica, then just past the Cayman Islands and the western tip of Cuba. When the storm came ashore at Gulf Shores, it collapsed the Interstate 10 bridge across Escambia Bay and destroyed many state roads.
