Today: Mostly sunny early in the morning then becoming partly cloudy. Highs in the lower 90s. East winds 10 to 15 mph.
Tonight: Mostly clear. Lows in the mid 60s. East winds 5 to 10 mph.
Forecast Details: in the lower levels of the atmosphere, sprawling high pressure continues to dominate the southeast and Middle-Atlantic States. A weak onshore flow over the coastal sections is sending a few coastal clouds inland. In the upper levels of the atmosphere, high pressure out west continues to ridge east across the northern Gulf and the Florida Peninsula. Temperatures at 2 am EDT were pleasant with readings mainly in the 60s away from the coast and 70s at the coast.
High pressure is forecast to strengthen across the region through the short-term. This feature will result in daytime temperatures at or above climatology, with readings ranging from the upper 80s near the coast to lower 90s inland. Rain chances will be limited through Friday and confined to northeast Florida where some weakness in the ridge will exist.
Today's Pollen Levels: 8.8 Medium High (on a scale to 12); Predominate Pollen: Ragweed, Grass and Chenopods.
