Patchy dense fog with visibilities around one half mile will be possible early this morning, mainly across inland southeast Georgia.
Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will be possible along a stalled frontal boundary today. locally heavy downpours will be possible across northeast Florida at times.
Tonight, shower and embedded thunderstorm activity will become more numerous along the coastal counties/I-95 corridor and locally heavy rainfall can be expected with rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Forecast Details: cold front has stalled over the forecast area early this morning and shortwave energy still rotating around the base of the middle/upper level trough axis will continue to trigger scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms along the frontal boundary across the forecast area.
Tonight...as middle/upper level trough axis digs just west of the forecast area, this will enhance the southerly flow across the region and the increase in deep moisture along with forecast area in favorable entrance region to upper level jet. This will increase heavy rainfall chances along the coastal counties and I-95 corridor and have added locally heavy rainfall wording.
