Today: Mostly sunny early in the morning then becoming partly cloudy. A 20 % chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 90s. East winds 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight: Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 60s. East winds 5 mph in the evening becoming light.

Isolated thunderstorms are expected this afternoon along and west of the I-75 corridor. locally heavy rainfall, frequent lightning and gusty winds will be possible.

Very warm temperatures will return today with mid 90s common over the interior sections of northeast Florida this afternoon.

Forecast Details: the dominant weather player through Friday will be a strong anticyclone advancing from the Middle-Atlantic States towards the Gulf Coast states while cut-off low remains to our east/northeast. The anticyclone will bring hot temperatures along with mainly dry conditions. Today, high temperatures are forecast to range from near 90 at the coast to middle 90s over portions of the interior. Have maintained low-end probability of precipitation for portions of the I-75 corridor otherwise dry conditions are forecast.
