...Locally Heavy Rainfall Possible Today...
Scattered to numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms with locally heavy rainfall will be possible today over northeast Florida. the rain will be mainly south of I-10.
Forecast Details: surface front now south of the area with a moist northeast flow over northeast Florida. Coastal convergence and precipitable waters remaining around 2 inches will result in locally heavy rainfall again today south of the I-10 corridor. With moist gradient over the area probability of precipitation will range from likely south to none over southeast Georgia. Models show weak low over the eastern Gulf along front. Moisture is prognosticated to push back into southeast Georgia on Sunday where 20-30 % probability of precipitation look good. Daytime temperatures will remain a few degrees below normal this weekend over northeast Florida due to cloud cover and shower activity. Breezy conditions will continue along the East Coast today with gusts to near 25 miles per hour possible at times.
