Wednesday WX Outllook...

"Weather forecast for tonight: dark. Continued dark overnight, with widely scattered light by morning."
George Carlin

Today: A 30 % chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Partly cloudy, with a high near 91. Calm wind becoming southwest between 5 and 8 mph.

Tonight: A 30 % chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 11pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 69. West wind between 4 and 7 mph becoming calm

Isolated showers and thunderstorms will develop over the Suwannee Valley later this morning and becoming more prevalent as they progress northeast into the georgia zones. A secondary area of enhanced precipitation chance will be later this afternoon and into the evening along and west of the I- 95 corridor. Numerous cloud to ground lightning strikes along with isolated strong wind gusts and small hail will be the main concerns.

Today's allergy level: 3.9-low-medium (on a scale of 1 to 12), predominant pollen Grasses, Hickory and Oak.

Forecast Details: Patchy fog will gradually give way to partly cloudy conditions by mid morning. BUFR soundings indicate an increase in available moisture with PWATS increase from current 1.25 values to 1.60 by late morning. Will still be dealing with developing ridge aloft as we get into maximum heating but cape values will still be in the 2500 j/kg plus range. Expect more unstable flow off the Gulf to advect in and produce numerous thunderstorms this afternoon. A secondary zone will develop along the East Coast as predominant southwest flow encounters sea breeze still pinned to the coast. This feature will be realized very late in the day and will carry highest chance I-95 corridor.
