Thursday WX Outlook...

Today: A 20 % chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Partly cloudy, with a high near 92. East-northeast wind between 5 and 7 mph.

Tonight: A 10 % chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8pm. Patchy fog after 2am. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 67. East wind between 4 and 7 mph becoming calm.

Isolated thunderstorms are expected over inland northeast Florida west of US 301 in the afternoon and evening. The main concern with the strongest storms will be gusty winds and cloud to ground lightning.

Weak frontal boundary will sink a little further south then become diffuse. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies expected with highs still expected to reach the upper 80s to near 90 as temperatures aloft remain on the warm side. The more unstable airmass with li of about -5 will be over the Florida zones and with winds shift to northeast to east. The coast sea breeze will push inland much easier than previous days. Due to meager moisture values and little if any forcing aloft from passing short-wave impulses, only isolated convection expected over inland northeast Florida with sea breezes and low level convergence.

Tonight, the pooling of moisture over inland northeast Florida and left over afternoon convection supports isolated showers and possible storms again, mainly near and west of I-75. This convection should die out quickly with loss of heating. Patchy fog is possible late, due to weak boundary layer winds and moisture advection from the Atlantic.
