The St. Johns River is Florida’s alone. It's ours for its entire commerce and for our recreation and our visitors'. It's also ours to protect and preserve. When the river faces challenging issues, it's up to us to understand and solve them.
For all of these purposes, we'll come together for the St. Johns River Summit September 15 and 16 at the Prime F. Osborn III Convention Center in Jacksonville, FL. Representatives from all 12 counties that share the banks of the St. Johns will discuss the river’s future, health and use. Concerns and priorities for the river may differ as it flows northward along its 310 miles. However, residents all share a common love and respect for the St. Johns as the river that opened Florida for settlement and in our time may well lead the way toward a sustainable regional economy.
