Weekend WX Outlook...

Saturday: A 30 % chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 96. Calm wind becoming east-northeast between 4 and 7 mph.

Saturday Night: A 30 % chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 8pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 71. East-southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Sunday: A 30 % chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Mostly sunny and hot, with a high near 96. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph.

Sunday Night: A 30 % chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 8pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected each afternoon and evening. Afternoon heat indices will be 100 to 105.

Forecast Details: thunderstorm activity expected Saturday and Sunday with the highest chance focused across our interior zones that have been capped at 30%.

The main concern through the weekend across the entire area will be high temperatures in the mid to upper 90s. Heat indices will near the century mark across the entire eastern CWA with values near 105 across our western zones through the weekend.
