Field Trip--Gum Root Park by the Alachua Audubon Society Saturday, February 19 · 6:00 am – 10:00 am.

From Waldo Rd (SR 24) go E on NW 39th Ave (CR 222) 2.5 mi to NE 27th Ave, turn right, and go 0.8 mi to the parking lot on your left, just before the blinking red light.

Note the early start time! This trip begins early in hopes of seeing the display flight of the American Woodcock, but the variety of habitats in the park may yield glimpses of many other resident and wintering birds.
