A live oak that will eventually grow to be 40 feet tall and 60 feet wide will be planted in front of Newberry City Hall Friday, Jan. 21 in honor of Arbor Day.

The formal event will be held at 11 am, with a proclamation being read. On-hand will be the city's mayor, city manager, elected officials and members of the city's Beautification Committee and Garden Club.
