There are very few places where you can see what Florida looked like 200 years ago. We'll help band sparrows at Tall Timbers Research Station Saturday--Henslow's and Bachman's are likely. Sunday we'll visit the Wade Tract, one of the world's last remaining stands of old-growth longleaf pine. Expect southern pineland specialties such as red-cockaded woodpecker, brown-headed nuthatch, and northern bobwhite. Reservations required. Call Wild Birds Unlimited(352) 381-1997 for info.
