Buddhist masters are touring the world giving blessings using relics that Buddhists believe were produced by religious masters. This weekend, the Heart Shrine Buddhist Relic Tour stops in Gainesville, and the community will have the opportunity to see the relics and receive a blessing from a Buddhist master.
Those who attend will be blessed with the relics, which are pearl-like objects found in the ashes of Buddhist masters, said Bob Todd, host of the Gainesville tour.
Blessings will be given at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Gainesville today and Sunday, and entrance is free.
