Visit A State Park This Weekend...

Paynes Prairie State Park

Looking for something to do this week end? Don't want to spend a bunch of money? Well check out your Florida State Parks , like Payne’s Prairie right hear in Alachua County.

In honor of Recreation and Parks Month all Florida State Parks will waive entrance fee's tomorrow Saturday July 17, such a deal and a great way to relax this weekend...

Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Historic State Park

The park is open daily from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm October through July visitors may tour the house with a ranger, except Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Although you can see inside the historic home every day, access inside is by guided tour only. Tours are available Thursday through Sunday at 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm

Admission Fee:

$3.00 per vehicle. Please use the honor box to pay fees. Correct change is required. Limit 8 people per vehicle.

Guided Tours of the Rawling's house:

$3.00 per adult.

$2.00 per child, ages 6 to 12.

Free - Children under 6 years of age.

Payne's Prairie Preserve State Park

The park is open from 8:00 am until sundown, 365 days a year.

Admission Fee:

$6.00 per vehicle. Limit 2-8 people per vehicle.

$4.00 Single Occupant Vehicle.

$2.00 Pedestrians, bicyclists, extra passengers, passengers in vehicle with holder of Annual Individual Entrance Pass.

Picnic Pavilion

$30 plus tax -Picnic pavilion seats 65 people.

Camping Fee:

$18.00 per night, plus tax campground. Includes water and electricity. Florida residents who are 65 years of age or older or who hold a social security disability award certificate or a 100 percent disability award certificate from the Federal Government are permitted to receive a 50 percent discount on current base campsite fees.

Group Camping:

$4.00 per person, plus tax (minimum of $20.00 per night).

Dudley Farm Historic State Park

The park is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Wednesday through Sunday, closed Monday and Tuesday.

Self-guided tours of the farmstead are available Wednesday through Sunday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

Devil's Millhopper Geological State Park

San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park

Equestrian entrance fee

$7.00 per horse (price includes vehicle admission). Horse riders are required to have proof of negative Coggins on their person or in their saddlebag.

O'Leno State Park

The park is open from 8:00 am until sundown, 365 days a year.

Admission Fee:

$5.00 per vehicle. Limit 2-8 people per vehicle.

$4.00 Single Occupant Vehicle.

$2.00 Pedestrians, bicyclists, extra passengers, passengers in vehicle with holder of Annual Individual Entrance Pass.

Camping Fee:

$18.00 per night, plus tax. Includes water and electricity.

Cabin Fees

During O'Leno's peak season of May through August, all 17 cabins must be rented together as a group. The cost for this group camp is $300.00 plus tax. This cost also includes the use of the dining hall and recreation hall.

Individual cabins are available for rent September through April. Cabin costs vary between $25.00 to $150.00 (plus tax) depending on the cabin.

$6.00 per vehicle. Limit 2-8 people per vehicle. No river use.

$4.00 Single Occupant Vehicle.

$4.00 Motorcycle Fee (one or two people).

River Use Fees

$5.00 per person: canoeing.

$5.00 per person, tubing from North Entrance-Summer Season (Begins the Saturday before Memorial Day through Labor Day). Children 5 and under are free.

$5.00 per person, tubing from South Entrance-Summer Season (Begins the Saturday before Memorial Day through Labor Day). Children 5 and under are free.

$6.00 per group of 2-8 people, tubing from South Entrance-Off-Season (Begins the Tuesday after Labor Day thru the Friday before Memorial Day).

$5.00 per vehicle. Limit 2-8 people per vehicle.

Camping Fee:

$20.00 per night, plus tax. Includes water and electricity. Maximum of 8 people or one single family.

Cabin Rental

$425.00 per week, plus tax, rustic cabins.

$75.00 per night, plus tax, Block cabins.

$490.00 per week, plus tax, Block cabins.

$100.00 per night, plus tax, ADA-accessible cabins.

$650.00 per week, plus tax, ADA-accessible cabins.

Primitive Camping Fee:

$5.00/person per night.

Group Camping Fee:

$1.00 per person, per night for youth 18 and younger.

$5.00 per person, per night for adults/chaperon 18 years and older.

Organized Youth and Adult Group Camping:

$1.00 per person, per night for youth 18 and younger.

$5.00 per person, per night for adults/chaperon 18 years and older.

Picnic Pavilion Fee:

$35.00 to $70.00 per day. There are eight (8) covered shelters available. They vary in size and can accommodate 16 to 100 people. All picnic pavilions have tables and grills. They are available on a first come first served basis or can be reserved up to 11 months in advance by calling the park or in person.

Recreation Building:

$125.00 per day.
