SHANDS AMONG NATION'S BEST

Shands at the University of Florida has made U.S. News & World Reports' list of America's Best Hospitals in eight specialties.

The news magazine's annual rankings were announced today.

Shands UF was the highest ranking Florida hospital in four specialties: heart and heart surgery, kidney disorders, pulmonology and urology.

It was also highly ranked in cancer care, gastroenterology, geriatrics and neurology/neurosurgery.

U.S. News evaluated some 5,000 hospitals to rank the best in 16 adult specialties.(more)...
