Well it's about time! However don't go celebrating just yet, there's a lot that can still go wrong and a lot to do before the relief wells get in place. Still it's damn good news...
Of course we are still faced with years of clean up and restoration in the Gulf, not to mention the legal and political fall out. Oh well...

NEW ORLEANS — The oil has stopped. For now. After 85 days and up to 184 million gallons,
BP finally gained control over one of America's biggest environmental catastrophes Thursday by placing a carefully fitted cap over a runaway geyser that has been gushing crude into the Gulf of Mexico since early spring.
