Forecast Details
Water vapor imagery was showing a broad ridge across the eastern Gulf and southeast US. At the surface a ridge of high pressure was across north central Florida and moving south. Surface observation and fog imagery indicated dense fog was across much of coastal and inland southeast Georgia and have a dense fog advisory there until 10 am this morning. Elsewhere skies partly cloudy with areas of fog forming which may get locally dense in a few areas early in the morning.

A dry forecast through Saturday as strong high aloft builds across the Gulf of Mexico and surface high remains over Florida. High temperatures much above normal reaching near 80 inland and middle 70s coast. Lows in the 40s and 50s. Main concern will be fog potential. Have issued a dense fog advisory for coastal and inland southeast Georgia until 10 am. There may be patchy fog along the coast this afternoon and evening with the East Coast sea breeze and have continued previous forecast with patchy fog there. Areas of fog are expected late at night through Sunday which may be locally dense in a couple of spots. A backdoor front moves through the area late Saturday bringing in cloudiness and cooler temperatures (especially along the coast) but no precipitation expected.
