Drivers, bike riders, pedestrians and other interested people are invited to an open house to get an update on the Main Street reconstruction project. The event is scheduled for Tuesday at the Alachua County Administration Building at 12 SE 1st St.

Florida Department of Transportation officials said no formal presentation will be given. Instead, anyone who is interested is invited to drop by from 11 am to 1 pm.or from 3 pm to 5 pm. People working on the project will be on hand to answer questions and talk about the work.
