Forecast Details: a broad trough dominates the eastern U.S. with flow aloft zonal over the forecast area. A weak trough of low pressure pushed through the County Warning Area this morning with evidence of thin line of clouds pushing southeast of Marion County at 11 am, otherwise skies are mostly clear. MOS guidance and sounding suggest highs in the lower 60s for today and with a great deal of sunshine today will bump temperatures up slightly. Winds in the 1-3,000 ft layer were near 30 knots per sounding and with low level mixing expect occasional winds gusts of 25-35 miles per hour in the afternoon. Pressure gradient will sustain westerly winds near 15-20 miles per hour later today with strongest winds over extreme northeast Florida and portions of southeast Georgia. Lake Wind Advisory remains in effect for extreme northeast Florida and portions of southeast Georgia.

Minimums will fall into the upper 20s to near 30 degrees along and west of a line from Middleburg to Palatka. Sub-freezing temperatures are expected for 3 to 6 hours early Sunday morning.
