Today: Partly sunny, with a high near 64. East wind around 6 mph.
Tonight: A 20 % chance of showers after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 45. Light east wind.
Hazardous Weather: the dry airmass in place will create dangerous fire weather conditions this afternoon across portions of inland north Florida.
Forecast Details: another tricky temperature forecast today as isentropic lift continues beneath an inversion. The inversion level is now at 780 MB per 12z KJAX sounding as 800 MB temperatures have cooled about 4 degree c since Saturday morning. Isentropic lift should continue as long as inverted coastal trough persists. Temperature forecast will be most problematic on northwest edge of cloud cover and in areas where substantial breaks occur. May tweak maximum temperatures down a bit more over southeast zones as these areas should see the highest likelihood of thick clouds, but as was noted yesterday, areas of lift decrease and increase over the course of the day.
Today's Pollen Levels: 5.1 Medium (on a scale to 12); Predominate Pollen: Cedar
