Forecast Details: strong cold advection will continue throughout today as a cold front pushes well south of the area and a 1037 MB Canadian high pressure system builds southward to the central Continental U.S.. Skies expected to become mostly sunny as the last of the low clouds from this morning push toward the south. Temperatures are currently in the upper 40s over southeast Georgia and lower 60s over the southeast zones. With the cool air mass on brisk northwest winds, today's highs will not move very much from the current readings with a rise of only a few degrees.

The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued a freeze warning which is in effect from midnight tonight to 9 AM EST Monday.

Temperatures will begin to drop below freezing around midnight tonight across inland areas. Most inland locations will fall into the upper 20s with sub-freezing temperatures expected for roughly 5 to 8hours.


... Red Flag Warning In Effect From 1 PM To 5 PM EST This Afternoon Due To Winds And Low Relative Humidity... 

The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued a red flag warning which is in effect from 1 PM to 5 PM EST this afternoon.

This afternoon dry air filtering in behind the cold frontal passage today will support relative humidity bottoming out in the 30 to 35 % range. Durations of up to 3 to 5 hours of critical relative humidity will be possible. Northwest winds will approach critical levels at 10 to 15 mph with gusts to 20 mph at times this afternoon.
