Today: Sunny, with a high near 68. West wind between 6 and 13 mph. 


Tonight:   Partly cloudy, with a low around 48. West wind around 8 mph


Hazardous weather: Extended durations of low relative humidity will create dangerous fire growth conditions across portions of north-central Florida this afternoon.


Forecast Details: High pressures over the Gulf Coast states will weaken as a surface front approaches from the north-northwest today. Today will be the warmest day of the forecast package as winds back westerly in advance of the front with highs climbing into the middle/upper 60s. Clouds will progressively increase from the west with skies becoming partly cloudy this afternoon/evening.


Models suggest light precipitation possible across the County Warning Area after midnight tonight along the leading edge of the cold front. Included a low chance of drizzle tonight with probability of precipitation less than 15%. Winds will remain west most of the night and coupled with cloud cover, lows are only expected to fall into the middle/upper 40s. A strong low level jet will traverse the are with and following the front with the NAM40 sounding indicating speeds around 40 kt at 2,000 ft. Very strong cold air advection will start after daybreak on breezy northwest flow.
