Forecast Details: Clear and cold with northwest flow this morning at 5 to 10 miles per hour kept temperatures from falling quite as fast as expected but still bottomed out in the middle 20s to support hard freeze warning in place. Wind chill values generally bottomed out around 20 degree.
Today brisk northwest flow will combine with sunny skies and make for a cold winter day with maximum temperatures only in the upper 40s to lower 50s. Northwest winds will generally be around 15 miles per hour with gusts to 20-25 miles per hour at times and will keep wind chill values in the 30s for much of the day. Tonight northwest flow will finally weaken enough and will set the stage for much better radiational cooling conditions and expect a hard freeze area wide and have upgraded to a warning in all areas except Flagler County over extreme southeast forecast area. Widespread low temperatures in the 20s expected with lower to middle 20s in colder locations and upper 20s along inland waterways and other wind exposed areas.

The National Weather Service in Jacksonville has issued a hard freeze warning which is in effect from 9 PM this evening to 9 AM EST Wednesday. A hard freeze warning remains in effect until 9 AM EST this morning.
This morning minimum temperatures are still expected to bottom out in the mid to upper 20s by sunrise with lower 30s along the coastal areas. Marginal hard freeze conditions will still be possible.
Tonight and Wednesday morning temperatures will again fall quickly after sunset with values below freezing before midnight. Minimum values will fall into the lower 20s inland with mid to upper 20s along coastal areas. Sub-freezing temperatures are
expected for at least 8 to 12 hours over inland areas.
