Tonight: Patchy fog after 1am. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 54. East wind around 6 mph becoming calm.
Forecast Details:. Surface high pressure will slide south along the southeast Atlantic coast through Tuesday night as upper level ridging gradually Delaware-amplifies over the Florida Peninsula. Shallow moisture with precipitable waters at or below 1 inch will continue middle level clouds over the area and cumulus during the daytime, but the lack of any real convective trigger less a weak sea breeze merger mostly to our south will keep probability of precipitation 10% or less through Tuesday. Maximum temperatures will remain warm with highs in the middle 70s coast to near 80 inland today and Tuesday with lows in the middle 50s to near 60.
The main sensible weather concern through the short term will be areas of fog development at night and guidance suggests dense fog development, but the presence of middle level clouds will make the fog forecast a bit more challenging. This morning based on surface observation varying from 1 sm or less across southeast Georgia decided to keep mention of areas of fog with patchy dense through 10 am. Satellite shows some more extensive and thicker middle level deck developing across our Florida zones including the Suwannee River Valley, so left our patchy dense for this area this morning. Tonight increased fog coverage to areas after midnight for zones across our interiorCounty Warning Area.
