Hazardous Weather Outlook: Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will form over extreme southern sections of the forecast area late today.
Forecast Details:12z KJAX sounding showed precipitable water of 1.6 inches with bulk of moisture confined above 600 mb. Satellite imagery currently shows dense middle and upper level clouds traversing much of southeast Georgia and the the Suwannee River valley of North Florida. Numerical models indicate aforementioned clouds will spread across the balance of Jacksonville County Warning Area today. Favorable lift for showers/storms will generally hold south of a Gainesville to St. Augustine line and will cap probability of precipitation in the chance category given limited moisture within the boundary layer. Will update zone forecast product to increase 1st period cloud wording otherwise forecast package appears on track. Most locales should warm into the lower 90s today given warm and dry conditions in the boundary layer with increasing clouds likely precluding middle 90s.
