Today: Partly cloudy. Patchy fog early in the morning. A chance of showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 90s. Southeast winds 5 mph. Chance of rain 40 %. Heat index readings 99 to 103.

Tonight: Partly cloudy. A 20 % chance of showers in the evening. Lows in the lower 70s. South winds 5 mph in the evening becoming light.

Hazardous Weather Outlook: Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will develop this afternoon across northeast Florida.

Forecast Details: An upper ridge has shifted south and weakened, now extending from central Florida to south Texas. Amplified upper ridge extends from the Mississippi valley to central Canada. Quasi-stationary front extends from north Georgia to the remnants of Hermine over Oklahoma. High cloudiness is spilling over the upstream ridge but is still remaining fairly thin over the local area. Not much low or middle cloudiness to be found and only isolated showers over the extreme southern coastal waters. Temperatures range from the upper 70s along the coast to the middle 70s inland.

The front to the north will sink south during the next 48 hours before becoming diffuse over the area. Models are keeping a narrow swath of drier air over south Georgia today with highest probability of precipitation once again over northeast Florida.

Maximum temperatures will be warm over the next few days with maximum readings in the middle 90s over inland areas and heat index approaching 105. MOS temperatures are in good agreement and a blend has been used. The best chance of fog over the next few days will be this morning.

Today's Pollen Levels: 8.6 Medium High (on a scale to 12); Predominate Pollen: Ragweed, Grass and Chenopods.
