Celebrate this fall with the many family-friendly programs Morningside Nature Center has to offer:
Barnyard Buddies: Every Wednesday, youngsters with an adult can meet and greet animals by helping staff with afternoon feeding. With a sheep here—and a cow there—learning about heritage breeds is fun! This free program begins at 3:00 pm at the Living History Farm.
Feed a Frog Fridays: On the First Friday of each month, youngsters with an adult can join a Morningside Nature Center animal caretaker for an exciting and educational program. This free program begins at 2:00 pm in the Education Building.
Step back in time and join us for Living History Days as park staff interpret day-to-day life on an 1870’s rural Florida farm. Come try a syrup-topped biscuit or cornbread baked in a wood cook stove. The Living History Days are free and take place every Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.
American By Birth, Floridian by the Grace of God ... “Florida isn't so much a place where one goes to reinvent oneself, as it is a place where one goes if one no longer wished to be found.”
