Today: Patchy fog early in the morning. Partly cloudy with chance of showers in the morning then mostly cloudy with showers likely and chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 90s. East winds 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 70 %. Heat index readings 99 to 103.

Tonight: Partly cloudy. Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening with slight chance of showers after midnight. Patchy fog after midnight. Lows in the mid 70s. East winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 20 %.

Isolated thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon. Severe weather is not anticipated.

Forecast Details: lows will continue to migrate west with upper level low likely departing into the Gulf of Mexico this afternoon. A deepening southeast flow regime will bring an influx of moisture and instability to the area especially across northeast Florida where the highest probability of precipitation are in place due to stronger dynamics associated with these broad lows. Have maintained a north-south distribution of probability of precipitation ranging from 20 % or less near the Altamaha river basin in southeast Georgia to as high as 70 % for Marion County. Breezy easterly winds will temper temperatures across our eastern zones with middle 90s common for the northern Suwannee River valley extending into interior southeast Georgia.

Tonight most inland showers and storms should depart west of the County Warning Area by the early evening although some bands of showers over the local waters will likely press onshore before dissipating. Overnight lows are forecast between 75 and 80 degrees.

Today's Pollen Levels: 7.5 Medium High (on a scale to 12); Predominate Pollen: Grass and chenopods.
