Forecast Details: water vapor loop currently shows very dry air aloft over south Georgia and northeast Florida. Upper low near Bahamas and weak surface low off Flagler Beach will be the main weather features in the short term. Models forecast upper low and surface low to move west across central Florida later today and tonight reaching the Gulf on Tuesday. Very low probability of precipitation expected today due to initially dry air aloft. Airmass will start to moisten this afternoon over coastal northeast Florida zones as moisture starts to advect in from the east. With low to the southwest on Tuesday we will be on the moist side with probability of precipitation increasing especially to the south. Precipitable waters will be in excess of 2 inches on Tuesday over northeast Florida as deep moisture wraps around upper low. Deep moisture will spread north over the entire area by Wednesday. Easterly flow will become breezy today and Tuesday as gradient increases between surface low and high out over the western Atlantic. Warm temperatures aloft will continue with 500mb temperatures remaining around -5c. Due to tropical like atmosphere expect mostly showers with isolated thunderstorms during the evening. A moderate cell motion should keep rainfall amounts from becoming excessive. Temperatures will be near normal today and Tuesday and then above normal on Wednesday as upper ridge builds back into the area.
Today's Pollen Levels: 7.5 Medium High (on a scale to 12); Predominate Pollen: Grass and chhenopods.
