Monday WX Outlook...

"Weather forecast for tonight: dark. Continued dark overnight, with widely scattered light by morning."
George Carlin

Today: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 2pm. Partly cloudy, with a high near 93. West northwest wind between 8 and 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 69. North-northeast wind between 4 and 7 mph becoming calm.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected across northeast Florida today in association with a southward moving cold front.

Today's pollen level: 3.7-Low Medium (on a scale of 1to12): predominate pollen: Grass and Oak.

Forecast Details: cold front is currently analyzed from Myrtle Beach SC to Montgomery AL moving south. It will move into our Georgia counties here in the next couple of hours and then drop across the rest of our CWA during the day. Convergence along the front will be sufficient enough to trigger scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly in northeast Florida. More numerous coverage is expected across our southern counties and we will go with likely chance of rain there today. Flow will quickly veer to the northeast behind the front and this will result in additional convergence along the coast later this afternoon during peak heating. This may lead to an additional thunderstorm or two near the coast later this afternoon.
